Mechanical Design Research Group
Mainly conducting research in (a) mechanical equipment and componen design, (b) experimental stress analysis, (c) dynamic and vibration, (d) fracture mechanics, (e) railway and guided vehicle technology, and (f) biomechanics.
Each topics focused on specific topics such as piping and pipeline technology, vibration analysis of various components, railway structure, design of various train components, crashworthiness in railway vehicles, dental implant, and crash injury.
Energy Conversion Research Group
Mainly conducting research in (a)thermo-fluid engineering, (b) power engineering, (c) refrigeration, (d) computatioal fluid dynamics, and (e) new and renewable energy.
Each topics focused on specific topics such as microgas turbine based on turbocharger, low cost solution to improve performance of dual fuel vehicles, less flammable hydrocarbon refrigerant as an alternative refrigerant for energy conservation in refrigeration systems, study of diesel engine spray characteristic by using CFD, and biofuel production from biomass.

Mechanical Production Engineering Research Group

Each topics focused on specific topics such as product and production facility modelling, autonomous production systems, teleoperation of robots, machine tools performance testing, piezoelectric microactuators, and product quality control.
Lightweight Structure Research Group
Mainly conducting research in (a) damage tolerance of aircraft structures, (b) numerical methods in structural analysis, (c)analysis and testing of structures, (d) Digital image corelation (DIC), (e) green composite materials, and (f) three-dimensional reconstruction for industrial components.
Each topics focused on specific topics such as crack growth life and residual strength prediction, aging aircraft, finite element analysis including non-linear analysis, buckling testing and analysis of structures, and experimental methods in structures using DIC.
Flight Physics Research Group
Mainly conducting research in (a) fluid dynamics, (b) dynamics systems modelling, simulation, and control, and (c) astrodynamics.
Each topics focused on specific topics such as development of vortex element method, development of particle image velocimetry (PIV) systems and dynamics, influence of wing configuration on its aerodynamics performance, rocket dynamics and propulsion, development of aircraft engineering simulator, control applications on engineering systems, and reconstruction and analysis of space mission.

Each topics focused on specific topics such as design of national glider, human-powered aerial vehicle, UAV development, airline fuel conservation, analysis of airline cost and revenue, fleet planning studies, airport departure and arrival traffic modelling and simulation, and design and analysis of small-turbine engines.
